Mohamed Salah has written a message to his Liverpool supporters as he leaves the Club at the end of the season.
After nine (9) years, Salah has announced he will exit Anfield when the 2025/26 season finishes; it was an agreement reached between the Egyptian forward and Liverpool.
Salah said, he will always be grateful for the “support” he has enjoyed from fans since his arrival in 2017 at the Club.
Via a video, Salah made known his exit from Liverpool; he described the Club as a “passion, history and spirit”.
He said, victory was celebrated at the Club with the “most important” accolades carted, adding, he fought alongside his teammates against the “hardest time in our life”.
The Egyptian expressed his gratitude to all that were with him all through his time at Anfield, especially his co-players both “past and present”.
Also, he thanked fans for their “support”, saying, he will never “forget”, adding, Liverpool will always be “home” to him and his family.
In his message to supporters, Salah said: “Hello everyone, unfortunately the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell. I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
“I wanted to start by saying that I never imagined how deeply this club, this city, these people would become part of my life.
“Liverpool is not just a football club, it’s a passion, it’s a history, it’s a spirit. I can’t explain in words to anyone not part of this club.
“We celebrated victory, we won the most important trophies and we fought together through the hardest time in our life.
“I want to thank everyone who was part of this club throughout my time here, especially the teammates past and present.
“And to the fans, I don’t have enough words. The support you showed me through the best time of my career and you stood by me in the toughest times. It’s something I will never forget and something I will take with me always.
“Leaving is never easy. You gave me the best time of my life. I will be always one of you.
“This club will always be my home to me and to my family.
“Thank you for everything.
“Because of all of you, I will never walk alone.”
After announcing his exit from Liverpool on Tuesday, Saudi Professional League club, Al Ittihad, resumes their chase for the Egyptian forward.
According to ESPN:
Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad have resumed work on a deal for Mohamed Salah after the Liverpool forward announced on Tuesday that he will leave the club at the end of the season, multiple sources have told ESPN.
Al Ittihad had a £150 million ($200m) bid for Salah’s services rejected by the Premier League outfit in September 2023, and are now set to revive their interest in the 33-year-old Egypt international as they look for a star name to be the face of their club following Karim Benzema’s move to Al Hilal in February.
