England forward, Harry Kane, netted a brace for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga 2025/26 match against Eintracht Frankfurt as the hosts emerged victorious with a 3-2 win at Allianz Arena in Munich on Saturday 21 February, 2026.
The home win has now taken Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich to eight (8) points clear at the summit of the table.
German defensive midfielder, Aleksandar Pavlovic, opened the scoring for Bayern Munich in the 16th minute firing a shot on the volley from just outside the area which passed under the grasp of Kaua Santos, Frankfurt goalkeeper.
Kane, Captain of the England Senior National Football Team, added the second for the Bavarians in the 20th minute with a fine header with an assist from defender, Josip Stanisic.
The Englishman netted his second of the game and third for Bayern in the 68th minute with an assist from midfielder, Joshua Kimmich; Kane bent the ball past Santos after picking up the ball from outside the area.
Kane then fouled on Oscar Hojlund in the box and a penalty was awarded to the visitors and Jonathan Burkardt stepped up and pulled one back for Frankfurt from the spot in the 77th minute.
The evening was eventful as Frankfurt found their second through Arnaud Kalimuendo with just four (4) minutes remaining as the hope for a comeback heightened massively.
Kalimuendo benefitted from a blunder in concentration at the defence for the Bavarians as defender, Kim Min-jae’s clearance bounced off him and into the net.
With this outcome, Bayern Munich remain at the top of the Bundesliga 2025/26 table with sixty (60) points, eight (8) points topping second-placed Borussia Dortmund, who finished 2-2 in the match against RB Leipzig on Saturday, while, Eintracht Frankfurt are 7th with thirty-one (31) points.
Following Bayern Munich’s narrow home win against Frankfurt, Kane wrote on X in his post-victory comments: “Important win. We keep moving.”
