The Government of Ogun State has announced the cancellation of the commissioning of the Laderin Prof. Wole Soyinka Train Station and the Sagamu–Ayepe Road until further notice.
According to an official notice by the Ogun State Government on Friday 2 January, 2026, the projects were earlier scheduled to be commissioned on Saturday 3 January, 2026.
The Official Notice reads: “This is to formally inform the general public that the commissioning of the Laderin Prof. Wole Soyinka Train Station and the Sagamu–Ayepe Road, earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday, 3rd January, 2026, has been cancelled.
“A new date for the commissioning of these projects will be communicated in due course.
“The inconvenience this change may cause is deeply regretted, and we appreciate your understanding and continued support.”
