‘I am already making Venezuela rich and safe again’ – Trump

President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, has commended himself, saying, he is “already making Venezuela rich and safe again'”.

The US President is making the statement just a week after American Forces captured the Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, alongside his wife in Caracas, the country’s capital city.

Maduro’s capture was perfectly executed while the US Forces were bombing the country.

Following the capture of Maduro, Trump announced days after, he has secured “30 and 50 million barrels of high quality oil” from the South American country to America.

Also, Trump is in search of billions of dollars in investments for the oil industry of Venezuela as he organized a meeting where he invited very big US oil firms.

President Trump posted on Truth Social: “I love the Venezuelan people, and am already making Venezuela rich and safe again. Congratulations and thank you to all of those people who are making this possible!!!”

At the meeting, the response Trump got was that, Venezuela was “was currently “uninvestable””; the response was given by Darren Woods, Exxon’s Chief Executive.

According to BBC:

US President Donald Trump has asked for at least $100bn (£75bn) in oil industry spending for Venezuela, but received a lukewarm response at the White House as one executive warned the South American country was currently “uninvestable”.
Bosses of the biggest US oil firms who attended the meeting acknowledged that Venezuela, sitting on vast energy reserves, represented an enticing opportunity.
But they said significant changes would be needed to make the region an attractive investment. No major financial commitments were immediately forthcoming.
Exxon’s chief executive Darren Woods said: “We have had our assets seized there twice and so you can imagine to re-enter a third time would require some pretty significant changes from what we’ve historically seen and what is currently the state.”

“Today it’s uninvestable.”

The 47th President of the US said, it is up to him to decide which firms would be permitted to invest in Venezuela.
