Akor Adams has left Super Eagles camp

Striker, Akor Jerome Adams, has “temporarily” left the Super Eagles camp.

This is happening after Nigeria’s 4-0 whitewash of Mozambique in the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) 2025 Round of 16 match on Monday 5 January, 2025.

Akor Adams left the Nigeria camp to be with his mother, who was hospitalised.

An update from the Super Eagles camp by the Super Eagles Supporters Club, says: “Akor Adams has been granted permission to leave camp to go be with his mum, who was hospitalised yesterday.

“We’re sending prayers and strength to him and wishing his mum a quick recovery.”

Adams, who features for Spanish La Liga Club, Sevilla FC, scored Nigeria’s fourth goal in the match against the Mozambicans after converting Ademola Lookman’s assist; Atalanta forward, Lookman, opened the scoring for the Super Eagles and Victor Osimhen,netted a brace.

In reaction to the update from the Super Eagles Supporters Club, Sevilla posted on X: “Akor Adams has temporarily left the Nigeria training camp to be with his mother, who was hospitalized this Monday.

“Much strength and a speedy recovery from Seville!”

Nigeria will face Algeria in the AFCON 2025 quarter finals on Saturday 10 January, 2026 at 17:00 (WAT) at Stade De Marrakesh.
