Bruno Rodriguez, Cuban Diplomat and Politician, has come out to condemn President of the United States (US), Donald Trump’s announcement of the entire closure of the airspace of Venezuela.
The closure of Venezuela’s airspace “in its entirety” by the US Leader happened due to the heightening tensions between both countries.
Rodriguez described Trump’s announcement as an “aggressive action”, and an “extremely serious threat'”; he said, the US does not have “any authority beyond its borders” to give such order against Venezuela.
He called on the international community “to denounce the prelude of an illegitimate attack.”
Rodriguez said: “We condemn the announcement of the #US Government of closing #Venezuela’s airspace, an aggressive action for which no State has any authority beyond its borders and which should raise the strongest rejection by the international community.
“This is an extremely serious threat against International Law and an increased escalation of the military aggression and psychological warfare against the people and government of Venezuela, with incalculable and unpredictable consequences for peace, security and stability in Latin America and the Caribbean.
“We call on the international community and all the peoples of the world to denounce the prelude of an illegitimate attack.”
