Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has splashed photos of himself with Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, following the return of the former President from Guinea-Bissau.
GEJ was in Guinea-Bissau when the Military took control of the country from President Umaro Sissoco Embaló.
The former Nigerian Leader was in the West African country to observe elections when the coup happened.
Jonathan, following his return to Nigeria, after being evacuated by a plane sent by Ivorian President, Alassane Ouattara, said, the coup “appeared suspicious” because it was “the President himself who announced the coup”.
Atiku wrote on X: “It was a pleasure catching up with former President Goodluck Jonathan, @GEJonathan, yesterday evening, following his recent return from Guinea-Bissau.”

According to the BBC:
Military takeovers are nothing new in Guinea-Bissau. The West African country has experienced at least nine attempted and successful coups since gaining independence from Portugal in 1974.
But when military officers announced they had seized control of the country last Wednesday, some analysts and political figures were sceptical.
