Rhodes-Vivour meets with Aregbesola, take ‘firm’ position on attack against ADC in Lagos

On Monday 8 September, 2025, 2023 Labour Party (LP) Lagos Governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, met with the National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), alongside other Lagos Party Leaders, following the recent “disturbing violence and attacks” launched agisnt the ADC in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria.

Rhodes-Vivour said, a “firm” position on the matter has been reached “collectively”, and the steps to be taken will be announced soon.

Taking to X, Rhodes-Vivour made known: “I had a very important meeting with His Excellency, @raufaregbesola, alongside some Lagos party leaders. We discussed at length the disturbing violence and attacks that were recently carried out against the ADC here in Lagos and in other parts of the country.

“We have collectively taken a firm position on this matter and steps to be taken that we will be announcing very soon.

“What I can say now is that the fight for our democracy and the soul of Nigeria is not mine alone, It is a collective struggle and we will not back down.”
