Nottingham Forest and manager Nuno Espirito part ways

Portuguese-São Toméan football manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, has departed Premier League outfit, Nottingham Forest, after a successful spell with the club.

Espirito’s exit from Nottingham Forest is coming after the manager led the club to the Uefa Europa League 2025/26.

Nottingham Forest finished on the 7th spot of the Premier League 2024/25 table, thanks to Espirito’s managerial skills; the feat earned the Tricky Trees their Well-deserved place in the European tournament.

Nottingham Forest alongside Aston Villa will represent England in the Uefa Europa League 2025/26.

Espirito’s departure was made known via a statement by the club on X.

The Tricky Trees expressed gratitude to the former Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach for his “contribution” during his prosperous time with the Club, especially, in the 2024/25 season.

Nottingham Forest announced: “Nottingham Forest Football Club confirms that, following recent circumstances, Nuno Espírito Santo has today been relieved of his duties as Head Coach.

“The Club thanks Nuno for his contribution during a very successful era at The City Ground, in particular his role in the 2024/25 season, which will forever be remembered fondly in the history of the Club.

“As someone who played a pivotal role in our success last season, he will always hold a special place in our journey.”

Nottingham Forest are currently 10th on the Premier League 2025/26 table with four (4) points after three (3) encounters.
