In his quest to woo investors to Nigeria, Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has told investors on the sidelines of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80) that, they “have an ally in President Tinubu, who speaks the language of business”.
The Nigerian Vice President, who is representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at UNGA 80, made the statement when he held a roundtable organized by the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) and Flour Mills of Nigeria.
Shettima told investors that, the Nigerian economy is experiencing “mirific turnaround and positive figures” alongside “stability” due to President Tinubu’s “super” reforms.
According to the official X account of the Vice President: “Vice President @KashimSM has held a roundtable hosted by the Business Council for International Understanding (@BCIU), in partnership with the Flour Mills of Nigeria and other conglomerates, where he spoke about the investment opportunities in Nigeria and the ongoing economic reforms of President @officialABAT’s administration.
“The Vice President told investors that, in President @officialABAT, they have an ally, a friend, and a colleague who grew up in the American ecosystem, who speaks their language and the language of business.
“He said the Nigerian economy, given the super reforms of the President, had turned the corner and, hence, the mirific turnaround and positive figures cum stability the Nigerian economy is experiencing. He charged investors to invest in the country, as there had never been a time like now to invest in Nigeria, given the enabling environment and the ease of doing business now in Nigeria.”
At UNGA 80, the Vice President is joined by the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani; the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Mr. Dele Alake; the Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa; alongside others.
