Real Madrid defeated Real Oviedo by three (3) goals to zero (0) in the La Liga 2025/26 match on Sunday 24 August, 2025 at Nuevo Carlos Tartiere.
French forward, Kylian Mbappe, found the back of the net twice and Brazilian winger,Vinicius Junior, made it three as Real Madrid won 3-0 away against newly-promoted Real Oviedo to record a second win in two La Liga encounters.
Mbappe placed Xabi Alonso’s Los Blancos in front in the 37th minute, after Aurelien Tchouameni won the ball off Leander Dendoncker in midfield and quickly fed Arda Guler, who slipped a pass to the French goal machine, who converted sharply on the edge of the box and launched a low shot into the net.
The stubborn Real Oviedo almost scored a leveller when Kwasi Sibo’s low drive struck the post and bounced out.
The visitors fought hard and regained control of the midfield which led to Vinicius Jr’s assist being utilized by Mbappe to make it two for Madrid.
Far into additional time, in the 3rd minute, Vinicius Jr discovered himself unmarked in the box and calmly selected the far corner to add Real’s third goal and seal the win.
In their first game of the new campaign, Real Madrid recorded a lone goal win over Osasuna after Mbappe had hit the back of the net from the penalty spot.
