Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Executive Governor of Adamawa State, received Justine Madugu, head coach of the Super Falcons on Friday 1 August, 2025.
Madugu, “a son of Adamawa and hero of Nigeria”, guided the Super Falcons to triumph at the just concluded Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON) 2024.
The tournament, which held in Morocco, had Nigeria clinch its 10th WAFCON trophy after emerging victorious in the final against Morocco in Rabat on Saturday 26 July, 2025, coming from two (2) goals down to win 3-2.
Madugu received a 3-bedroom house and a whopping ₦50 million from the Governor for the WAFCON glory.
Taking to X, Governor Fintiri said: “Today, I was proud to receive Coach Justine Madugu, a true son of Adamawa and hero of Nigeria’s WAFCON 2025 victory.
“In recognition of his patriotism and brilliance, we have gifted him a 3-bedroom house and ₦50 million. His success inspires our sporting renaissance.”
