Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, has announced the disbursement of ₦401 million in business support grants to more than “1,000 beneficiaries” to enable them “grow grassroots businesses and improve livelihoods”.
The Governor said, farmers and traders are still benefitting from his administration’s “₦2 billion” agricultural and “₦2 billion” traders’ grant initiatives.
Also, Eno bagged endorsement from Akwa Ibomites for a second term.
Governor Eno posted on X: “Yesterday in Eket Federal Constituency, I disbursed N401 million in business support grants to over 1,000 beneficiaries across Eket, Esit Eket, ONNA and Ibeno Local Government Areas as part of our ARISE Agenda to grow grassroots businesses and improve livelihoods.
“Farmers and traders also continue to benefit from our N2 billion agricultural and N2 billion traders’ grant initiatives.
“I am grateful for the overwhelming love, support, and endorsement for a second term from the people and leaders of this constituency.
“In just two years, we have completed over 70 projects in that Federal Constituency, and I remain committed to working with all stakeholders to drive development and unity.
“We also received the NEEDS Document from the four LGAs to guide future projects, and I announced a high-powered committee to resolve the Stubb Creek Forest issue. I thank everyone who came out and pledged to keep delivering for our people.”
