A white farm worker in South Africa accused of killing two black women has confessed, he was forced to feed their bodies to pigs, according to lawyers.
Adrian de Wet is one of three men facing murder charges after 45-year old Maria Makgato, and 34-year old Lucia Ndlovu, were murdered while allegedly looking for food on a farm near Polokwane in South Africa’s northern Limpopo province in 2024.
Their bodies, according to allegations, were then fed to pigs in an clear attempt to dispose of the evidence.
20-year old De Wet turned state witness when the trial began on Monday and says Zachariah Johannes Olivier, farm owner, shot and killed the two women.
Ms Makgato and Ms Ndlovu were in search of dairy products due to expire soon which had been left for pigs when they were killed.
According to both the prosecution and his lawyer, Mr De Wet, a supervisor on the farm, will testify that he was under duress when he was forced to throw their bodies into the pig enclosure.
