2-year old boy dies after car rams into pedestrians in Kent

A boy, two years of age, has died and a man has sustained serious injury after a crash in a car park in Kent, South East England, Police disclosed.

Police officers revealed, they were called to the junction of Harbour Street and Cromwell Road, Whitstable, on Saturday, following a crash involving a car and several pedestrians.

The boy was declared dead at the scene and a man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, Police said. The child’s next of kin has been alerted about the sad incident.

A man in his 20s was apprehended at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, Police disclosed.

Canterbury City Council Spox said: “Our thoughts are with everyone affected by last night’s incident.

“We have officers on site today to offer help and support.”
