Senator Natasha celebrates after ‘unconstitutional suspension quashed’

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Senator representing Kogi Central Constituency, has expressed her gratitude to Nigerians for their support during her legal battle against her suspension.

Natasha described her suspension as “illegal and unconstitutional.”

Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja ordered the Senate to end its six-month suspension slammed on the Senator.

Senator Natasha bagged the suspension from the Ethics Committee of the Senate following her sexual harassment claims against Godswill Akpabio, Senate President.

She was however fined ₦5m by the Court for breaching its order of not making any public statement on the matter, as well as, to publish an apology on two national dialies.

Senator Natasha wrote on X: “Illegal & Unconstitutional Suspension QUASHED.
