School Coach crash k*lls child, 21 injured

One child has been killed and 21 people sustained injuries after a coach coming back from a school trip crashed in Exmoor, Somerset, a County in South West England.

The coach was loaded with up to seventy (70) people, many of them pupils from Minehead Middle School, when it flipped onto its roof and slid down a bank on Thursday afternoon.

While tributes and flowers are being left outside the grounds, the trust which runs the school made known, it is “devastated”.

Minehead Middle School, as well as, five other schools are closed today.

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), Keir Starmer, expressed “heartbreak” on X, he wrote: “A heartbreaking update on the school bus crash in Somerset.

“There are no adequate words to acknowledge the death of a child. All my thoughts are with their parents, family and friends, and all those affected.

“Thank you to the emergency workers who are responding at pace — I’m being kept up to date on this situation.”
