Barau FC, celebrated their promotion from the second football league system, Nigeria National League (NNL), to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with a parade through the streets of Kano.
Barau FC alongside three other NNL Clubs were promoted to the Nigerian top flight after Matchday 3 of NNL Super 8 Play-offs.
Based in Kano State, Baraus FC defeated Doma United by two (2) goals to zero (0) to gain promotion; the Club will feature in the NPFL 2025/26, their first time in the Nigerian First League System.
