Players and Staff of Banyana Banyana of South Africa visited injured midfielder, Gabriela Salgado, at the Hospital in Casablanca, Morocco.
Salgado picked up a serious injury in the semi final match between her country, South Africa, and the Super Falcons of Nigeria on Tuesday 22 July, 2025 in Casablanca.
Nigeria beat South Africa 2-1 to reach the final of the Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON), to face Morocco, hosts, on Saturday 26 July, 2025 at 21:00 (WAT).
Banyana Banyana wrote on X: “Banyana Banyana players and staff visited star Gabriela Salgado at the Mohamed VI University Hospital in Casablanca, Morocco, following her successful operation on Wednesday. Nigeria’s Super Falcons also visited Salgado after her injury on Tuesday.”
