The Leadership Caucus of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osogbo, Osun State, has endorsed President Bola Tinubu of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) for re-election in 2027.
This was confirmed by the Executive Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, who is under the PDP.
At the Osun PDP Leadership Caucus which held on Monday, certain resolutions were reached, which includes, the “unanimous” endorsement of Ademola Adeleke for a second term in 2026.
Another resolution is the Governor’s announcement of his loyalty to the ‘Umbrella’ Party; Adeleke said, the PDP gave him the platform on which he serves the “good” people of the Southwestern State.
Governor Adeleke made known via X: “Yesterday, I met with the @OfficialPDPNig Leadership Caucus in Osogbo after weeks of consultations with stakeholders across Osun — from traditional rulers and civil servants to market leaders and grassroots party members.
“I’m pleased to share the resolutions:
“I remain in the PDP, the party that gave me the platform to serve the good people of Osun.
“I have been unanimously endorsed by the Osun PDP for a second term in 2026.
“Our party in Osun has also endorsed President @officialABAT for re-election in 2027, recognizing him as a proud son of our state.
“PDP remains the most popular and trusted party across Osun State.
“I will continue to deliver on our Five-Point Agenda with renewed focus and dedication.
“The love and support from the people of Osun continues to inspire me. Together, we move forward.”
Ademola Adeleke became Governor of Osun State after emerging victorious in the 2022 Osun State Governorship Election which held in November.
Adeleke defeated incumbent governor, Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, who defeated him in the 2018 Osun State gubernatorial election rerun.
