Bayern Munich Board Member for Sport, Max Eberl, has given an update on the injuries in the team.
Eberl said, German attacking midfielder, Jamal Musiala, “is still on crutches”, and, Canadian defender, Alphonso Davies, “stepped onto the pitch for the first time” on Thursday and had a training session “outdoors for the first time”.
On new addition, Luis Diaz, the FC Bayern Chief said, the Colombian winger possesses “everything we need”.
According to FC Bayern official X account, at his press conference, Max Eberl said:
On injury updates…
“Alphonso Davies stepped onto the pitch for the first time today and trained outdoors for the first time. Jamal Musiala is still on crutches, but the process is positive for both of them. We hope that both will be available again by the end of the year.”
On new signing, Luis Diaz…
“It was clear we wanted to do something in attack. We wanted pace, one-v-one ability and consistency. We then landed on Luis fairly quickly. Luis brings everything we need. Then we wanted to make the transfer happen.
“For a transfer like this between two big clubs, all parties must come together. It soon became clear that Lucho wanted to come to us. We’re vey happy that he’s here, he’ll have an instant impact. He’s already performed at the highest level.”
Musiala will not field for Bayern Munich for a long time after suffering fibula fracture, broken and dislocated ankle at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 which held in the United States of America (USA).
The German has however undergone a successful surgery and will need time to recover. His return to action will be determined by the time needed to fully recover.
