Nigeria’s former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has arrived the Ivorian Capital City, Yamoussoukro, ahead of Ivory Coast 2025 Presidential election.
The Ivorian 2025 Presidential Election is scheduled to hold in October.
The former Nigerian President’s trip to the West African country is to ensure a “peaceful, credible election”.
Goodluck Jonathan wrote on X: “Members of West African Elders Forum (@TheWAEF) Pre-Election Mediation Mission led by His Excellency Mr. Yayi Boni, former President of the Republic of Benin arrived in the Ivorian capital city, ahead of the scheduled Ivorian October 2025 Presidential election.
“In our planned engagements with different stakeholders, we are pleased to offer our support and encouragement to the nation’s consensus building effortstoward a peaceful, credible election in Cote d’Ivoire and democratic consolidation in the subregion.”
