Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has performed his civic duty for the Lagos State Local Government Election on Saturday 12 July, 2025.
Gbajabiamila cast his vote at his Polling Unit at Elizabeth Fowler Nursery and Primary School in Surulere, Lagos.
The COS said, the Local Government is very essential in any democracy, adding, the “desire” of President Tinubu is to see the Local Government system function effectively.
He belives the “basic needs” of the people can be addressed through the Local Government as it is the “closest” to the people.
Gbajabiamila said on X: “I have performed my civic duty at my polling unit situated at Elizabeth Fowler Nursery and Primary School in Surulere, Lagos.
“The local government is crucial in any democracy. If the local government system is as effective as desired by the President, it should be the closest to the people at the grassroots, addressing their basic needs.”
On the Coalition recently formed by members of different Political Parties, Gbajabiamila said, they have no hope of going far in achieving their “target” as the accomplishments of President Tinubu in just two (2) years “towers high”.

Gbajabiamila further said: “On the formation of a coalition, it’s healthy for democracy to have opposition and I am not sure they can go far in achieving their target as the President’s performance towers high.”
HC: Ok, time to drop our lists. How has the Tinubu government affected you?
