Uefa Champions League 2024/25 (Final): PSG 5-0 Inter – Les Parisiens are Kings of Europe

Luis Enrique has delivered Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG) first ever Uefa Champions League title.

No team – not one – had ever emerged victorious in the Uefa Champions League final by five (5) goals.

Should we say it is too early to call it era-defining just as Spanish side, Real Madrid, clinched a 7-3 win in 1960, or AC Milan’s 4-0 whitewash of Barcelona, also Barcelona’s victory in 2011.

This is definitely a beautiful way for PSG to lift the UCL trophy for the first time ever in their history. And it looks like the beginning of something for Luis Enrique’s young team after a 5-0 demolition of Serie A side, Inter.

PSG took their time to make light work of Inter in the final of the Uefa Champions League, winning by a whopping five (5) goals to nil (0) on Saturday 31 May, 2025 right inside the Munich Football Arena, Munich, Germany.

Inter were so humiliated that they wanted to hear the final whistle when the third goal went it, netted by Desire Doue – one of the best goals in the history of the UCL final.

Simone Inzaghi’s side aged before the eyes. Statistically the oldest side in Serie A this campaign with an average age of 29, PSG were far too fast for them from the get-go, mounting the pressure on the Nerazzurri that looked ill-prepared to cope.

The Italian side looked like they were not used to that kind of speed. The night in Munich was definitely for Doue who netted a brace, and the season was for Ousmane Dembele and both players switched positions as Inter were obviously unable to catch up.

With Gianluigi Donnarumma, PSG had the best goalkeeper at the post; Moroccan defender, Achraf Hakimi, and Portuguese defender, Nuno Mendes, are definitely the best full-back pairing in football; Vitinha with his magnificent creativity in the midifeld.

Georgian Winer, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s arrival in the winter transfer window was the final piece in the puzzle, also allowing Luis Enrique to rest his attackers enough to keep them fresh.

Hakimi and Doue scored the first and second goals in the 12th and 20th minute respectively for Luis Enrique’s Les Parisiens, then, Doue netted the third in the 63rd minute.

Kvaratskhelia made it four in the 73rd minute and Senny Mayulu sealed victory for the French Ligue 1 Champions in the 86th minutes.

PSG finally had their European story to tell that people probably wanted to see and hear. The Les Parisiens have become lethal under Luis Enrique.

The same PSG under Enrique knocked out all the Premier League clubs in the UCL – starting from Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa and to Arsenal.

The encounter at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, emerged a record margin of victory in the competition’s final and is the Qatari-backed French club’s first title in the tournament.

PSG who won the Ligue 1 2024/25 defeated Arsenal to reach the UCL final, while Inter saw off Barcelona.
