Reno Omokri has come out to tell the Tinubu administration how to “deal with” the 2024 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, and Obidients.
He said, “the best way is to not respond to their negativity but to overwhelm them with positivity.”
Omokri narrated his experience in Abuja and Lagos, saying, both regions “are a beehive of projects.”
He listed, “Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway started from Calabar and Lagos simultaneously. Ile la-Sokoto-Badagry Expressway is ongoing. Enugu-Onitsha Expressway is being reconstructed.”
Reno Omokri was in Lagos to witness the commissioning of a completed section of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway by the President.
After attending the Golden Jubilee of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Lagos State, President Bola Tinubu proceeded to commission several projects in the Southwestern State.
The President commissioned the completed first section of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Superhighway on Saturday 31 May, 2025.
At the 50th anniversary of the Bloc, President Tinubu made known in his speech the positive economic gains of ECOWAS to fellow West African Leaders who attended the event.
Former Nigeria Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, the only surviving founding father of ECOWAS, attended the event where he expressed his disappointment at the exit of Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali from the Bloc
Omokri who witnessed the commissioning of the project said, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu “has rekindled my hope for a greater future for Nigeria.”
He said, “God sparing his life, a new Nigeria is not just possible (pun intended), it is BATifically realisable.”
Omokri also criticized Obidients for “praising” Burkina Faso President, Ibrahim Traore, who he said, “has not achieved up to an LCDA Chairman in Lagos”, saying, “Third Mainland Bridge alone is worth half of Burkina Faso’s entire GDP”.
Reno Omokri said: “The best way for the Tinubu administration to deal with Peter Obi and his Obidients is not to respond to their negativity but to overwhelm them with positivity. I was in Nigeria. Abuja and Lagos are a beehive of projects. Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway started from Calabar and Lagos simultaneously. Ile la-Sokoto-Badagry Expressway is ongoing. Enugu-Onitsha Expressway is being reconstructed.
“Development everywhere. Just blast this on every available media. TV, radio, print, social media. When they say Nigeria is a zoo, zoom in more.
“Look at these Obidients praising Traoré, who has not achieved up to an LCDA Chairman in Lagos. Third Mainland Bridge alone is worth half of Burkina Faso’s entire GDP. Yet, these Obidients have nothing good to say about Nigeria. Maybe they should relocate to Burkina Faso!”
