President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said, Executive Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, must “work with everyone”, and ensure to be a “father to all”.
This is coming as the President visits Benue State following the recent attacks that led to the killing of more than 100 people.
The President who arrived in Makurdi on Wednesday 18 June, 2025, visited the victims of the attacks at a hospital in the Benue State Capital.
President Tinubu issued some directives to elders, former Governors and traditional rulers of the North Central State which includes, “demands for Land for Ranching from the Governor”, and pleas to the people of Benue State to work in unity.
The President said, he is ready to invest to bring peace to Benue State.

Committee of Elders established to include all former Governors. Including the Governor of Nasarawa State.

Appeals to the People of Benue to work together.
Charges Traditional Rulers to work with the government to achieve peace.
