Femi Otedola, Chairman of Geregu Power, has praised President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, after the Nigerian Leader visited the Dangote Refinery in Lekki, Lagos State.
President Tinubu who has been commissioning projects in Lagos State after attending the Golden Jubilee of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Victoria Island, Lagos, visited the Dangote Refinery, after commissioning a road project that leads to the facility.
Otedola confessed, he witnessed history when President Tinubu visited the $20 billion Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Plant, owned by his “dear friend and brother”, Aliko Dangote.
The Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Plant is currently the “single largest single-train refinery in the world”.
The Presidency had earlier announced, the President will head straight to commission several projects in Lagos after attending the 50th anniversary of ECOWAS.
At the ECOWAS event, President Tinubu made known to fellow West African Leaders the economic milestones of the Bloc.
Femi Otedola wrote: “I witnessed history.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our visionary leader, visited the $20 billion Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Plant, the single largest single-train refinery in the world — an eighth wonder of the modern era, built by my dear friend and brother, Aliko Dangote.
“The President also commissioned a series of newly completed road projects.”
Otedola said, as the Governor of Lagos State over twenty (20) years ago, President Tinubu “envisioned” an economic powerhouse on the Atlantic coast what we now know as the Lekki Free Trade Zone.
The businessman added, that “vision” is currently standing “tall in steel, concrete, and ambition”.
Otedola said, “A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be.”
He said, he will continue to support the bold reforms of the Tinubu administration, adding, he believes that, “Nigeria is rising”.
Femi Otedola further wrote: “Over two decades ago, as Governor of Lagos State, President Tinubu envisioned an economic powerhouse on the Atlantic coast what we now know as the Lekki Free Trade Zone. Today, that vision stands tall in steel, concrete, and ambition.
““A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be.” That is the essence of President Tinubu.
“Nigeria is rising and those of us who believe in her will continue to support the bold reforms that will make her the greatest transformation story of the 21st century…”
