United Kingdom: ‘I will tighten up every area of our immigration system so migration numbers will fall’ – PM Starmer

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), Keir Starmer, has promised the British people that, his Labour government “will tighten up every area of our immigration system”, saying, the move will help “migration numbers fall”.

The UK PM blamed the Tories of the current crisis in the immigration system of the country, saying, “Under the Tories, nearly one million people came to the UK from overseas between 2019 and 2023”, however, assured his Labour government will take back full charge of Britain’s borders.

PM Starmer (X/@Keir_Starmer) said: “Under the Tories, nearly one million people came to the UK from overseas between 2019 and 2023. My Labour government is taking back control of our borders.”

He continued: “This is my promise to British people:

“Every area of our immigration system will be tightened up, so we have more control. And migration numbers will fall.”
