Barcelona have reclaimed the La Liga crown from Real Madrid after the top flight encounter against Villarreal on Sunday.
The club released official photos of its title-winning celebration after losing 2-3 in the La Liga match against Villarreal on Sunday 18 May, 2025.
Thanks to goals from Lamine Yamal and Fermín López, FC Barcelona came from behind to lead Villarreal 2-1 at half-time, but ended up losing 3-2 in the second-to-last game of the season.
This feat is Hansi Flick’s first La Liga title as Catalans manager; the German moved to Barcelona in 2024 after coaching German Bundesliga 2024/25 Kings, Bayern Munich, from 2019 to 2021, and the Germany National Football Team from 2021 to 2023.
