United Nations (UN) Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, has reacted to the ongoing fighting between India and Pakistan, saying, “tensions are at their highest in years”.

The UN Chief warned, “make no mistake: A military solution is no solution.”

According to timesofindia.indiatimes.com:

Following the Pahalgam terror attack April 22 and the resulting spike in tensions between India and Pakistan, major international carriers such a Lufthansa and Air France have begun rerouting flights to avoid Pakistani airspace, according to light tracking data observed on Monday

Guterres said: “Tensions between India and Pakistan are at their highest in years. I strongly condemn the awful terror attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. It is essential – especially at this critical hour – that India and Pakistan avoid a military confrontation that could easily spin out of control. Make no mistake: A military solution is no solution.”
