Bayern Munich head coach, Vincent Kompany, said, the Club’s “trophy celebrations tomorrow will certainly be very emotional.”
Kompany’s Bayern Munich were confirmed Bundesliga 2024/25 Champions last weekend after Freiburg and Bayer Leverkusen finished 2-2.
Alonso would have extended Bayern’s trophy party if he had emerged victorious over Freiburg in the top flight encounter.
The Belgian manager alongside his Bavarians are gearing up for the match against Borussia Moenchengladbach on Saturday 10 May, 2025 at Allianz Arena at 17:30 (WAT); he said, he is still hungry for more wins, with hopes to win the remaining two (2) matches.
Kompany said, “We’re under no less pressure for the last two games. We’ll keep going and we want to win this game.”
At his pre-trophy celebration and pre-match conference, Kompany said:
Do you prepare differently after winning the title?
“We’ve prepared because it’s an important game for us. We’re under no less pressure for the last two games. We’ll keep going and we want to win this game. It’s Thomas Müller’s last game at the Allianz Arena and it’s a day of celebration for everyone. We want to have a perfect Saturday if we prepare well. It won’t be an easy task, as they’re a good opponent.”
How emotional will it be tomorrow?
“It will certainly be very emotional, I don’t know if more for Thomas (Müller) or the people around him. They are great moments. I’ve experienced it myself. I also know that Thomas remains a fighter and always wants to show what he can do. He has a very special relationship with the fans.”
Will Manuel Neuer be three tomorrow?
“If everything goes well, Manuel Neuer will be there tomorrow.”
Trophy celebrations planned for tomorrow
“The main thing for me is that the trophy is and remains with Bayern. I’ve only planned the game. I don’t know anything after that.”
What does winning the title mean to you?
“I’m naturally very happy and grateful. I hope that my story is a good one for many people. After my time at Burnley, with promotion and then relegation, to then receive and feel the trust of FC Bayern and then to have the opportunity to win the German championship is something very special.”
