Governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) passed a vote of confidence on President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday 22 May, 2025, endorsing him as the Party’s 2027 candidate.
Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, the Chairman of the APC Governors Forum, moved the motion; Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, seconded the motion, as it received “resounding support” of the thousands of party faithful attending the APC summit, Abuja.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy, said on X (@aonanuga1956): “Governors of the All Progressives Congress on Thursday passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Tinubu and endorsed him as the party’s candidate in 2027. The motion was moved by the chairman of the APC Governors Forum, Hope Uzodimma. Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State seconded the motion, which got the resounding support of the thousands of party faithful attending the APC summit at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.”
