Bayern Munich manager, Vincent Kompany, has admitted the top flight showdown against Augsburg on Friday night is “traditionally not an easy game for Bayern”.
The Belgian pro manager made the statement at his press conference ahead of the match.
The former Manchester city defender hailed Augsburg saying, “they haven’t lost in 11 games and have conceded very few goals.”
Bayern Munich are heading into the game as toppers of the League with 65 points, while Augsburg will field as 8th spot holders with 39 points.
Augsburg will welcome Bayern Munich at WWK Arena for the Bundesliga match on Friday 4 April, 2025 at 19:30 (WAT).
At his press conference ahead of the encounter, Kompany said:
On Augsburg’s Impressive Form:
“It’s traditionally not an easy game for Bayern – they haven’t lost in 11 games and have conceded very few goals. But that’s also a good thing because everyone knows it’s a difficult away game. If we perform well, we can pick up points.”
On Player Availability:
“A few players have trained individually indoors, but they’ll normally be available. The lads who weren’t available against St Pauli won’t be available against Augsburg either.”
On Tomorrow’s Game Plan:
“We have good attacking players. St Pauli had also conceded very few goals and we got our chances. It doesn’t mean it’s easy, but we can always go into games full of confidence. We know we’ll always get our chances.”
