Premier League 2024/25: Leicester 0-3 Manchester United – Hojlund ends goal drought as Nistelrooy’s troubles continue

Danish forward, Rasmus Hojlund, and Argentine winger, Alejandro Garnacho, put an end to their goal droughts as Manchester United made light work of Leicester City 3-0 at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League match on Sunday 16 March, 2025.

Hojlund opened scoring for Ruben Amorim’s Reds in the 28th minute, Garnacho added the second in the 67th minute and Portugese midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, sealed victory for the visitors in the 90th minute.

For Ruud van Nistelrooy, his Leicester side have become the first team in the history of English top-fligh to bag seven (7) home losses in a row without scoring in any of them.

With nine (9) points from safety, the foxes have an extremely slim chance of retaining their top-flight status.

Following this result, Manchester United have moved up to 13th with 37 points, while Leicester City remain stuck in the red zone, on the 19th spot with 17 points.

Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea
Fulham 2-0 Tottenham Hotspur
Leicester City 0-3 Manchester United

HC: Rasmus should up his game, thanks to Amorim who is giving him ample time to do so. And it’s getting more obvious that Nistelrooy and Leicester might not remain in the top flight by the end of the season.
