FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualification: Rwanda 0-2 Nigeria -‘I’m so happy and proud for my players’ – Eric Chelle

Nigeria newly appointed head coach, Eric Chelle, has expressed his joy after the Super Eagles emerged victorious over Rwanda in the FIFA WC 2026 qualifiers on Friday evening.

Chelle said, “I’m so happy and proud for my players.”

At the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda, Nigeria defeated The Wasps by two (2) goals to zero (0) in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier on Friday 21 March, 2025.

Both goals were netted by Turkish Süper Lig club, Galatasaray, sharpshooter, Victor Osimhen, in the 11th minute and 3rd minute of first half additional time.

The victory keeps Nigeria’s hopes of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in very good shape.
