Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, sent his best wishes to the Muslim Community in the South-South State, wishing them the “very best of the season”.
Fubara said, “they used the opportunity to pray for me and my family”, adding, “It was also a good time to reassure them of our hope in God and our determination to actualize a greater future for our dear State”.
Governor Fubara wrote: “Here’s wishing our Muslim brothers and sisters the very best of this season.
“Eid Mubarak.”
The Governor who is currently serving a 6-month suspension slammed on him by President Bola Tinubu, further wrote: “Today, I received the Muslim community in Rivers State under the aegis of Rivers State Council for Islamic Affairs who came on a Sallah visit. They used the opportunity to pray for me and my family.
“It was also a good time to reassure them of our hope in God and our determination to actualize a greater future for our dear State.
“As they declared unwavering support for our government, we promise to continue working to uphold a society where no one or any religion will be oppressed as we stand for what is right and just.”
