President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, said, the United States (US) “will take over the Gaza Strip.”

Trump made the statement at a press conference with Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.
This is coming following the huge devastation in Gaza as a result of the fighting between Israel and Palestinian fighters, known as, Hamas.
The fighting between Israel and Hamas started in the early hours of Saturday 7 October, 2023 after Hamas launched a surprise attack on the southern region of Israel, killing more than 1,000 Israelis and taking many others hostage.
President Trump said: “The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it, too.”
