In her address, Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, said, “we still have a lot of challenges, especially when it comes to the rights of women and children. We are still facing issues on health, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), child marriage, gender-based violence and Girl Child Education”.
The Nigerian First Lady made the statement as she spoke at the 29th General Assembly of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the sidelines of the African Union (AU) Summit 2025.
