United States: ‘In two weeks, Trump will take the oath of office’

Speaker Mike Johnson, who recently won re-election to lead the House of Representatives, said, “in two weeks, President Trump will take the oath of office, cementing the greatest political comeback in American history.”

Mike Johnson’s statement is coming after the US Presidential Election 2024 was certified by Congress in a joint session on Monday 6 January, 2025.

The Speaker said, “Congress met in a joint session to count electoral college votes and certify President Donald J. Trump’s election as the 47th President of the United States.”

According to Speaker Mike Johnson: “Today, in accordance with the Constitution, Congress met in a joint session to count electoral college votes and certify President Donald J. Trump’s election as the 47th President of the United States. 


In two weeks, President Trump will take the oath of office, cementing the greatest political comeback in American history. 


His landslide election and corresponding mandate from the American people dictate that Congress waste no time in delivering on the America First agenda, and we are prepared to hit the ground running.”
