Tibet Earthquake: President Macron send condolences to families of victims, offer assistance to help

President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the “terrible earthquake” that hit Tibet, China’s autonomous region on Tuesday 7 January, 2025.

The French President also offered assistance to help the affected Himalayan populations.

President Macron wrote: “France expresses its condolences to the families of the victims of the terrible earthquake which has just struck Tibet and offers its assistance to help the affected Himalayan populations.”

At least 126 people were killed, 188 injured, and more than 1,000 buildings damaged.
