Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, announce immediate construction work on road projects |
According to Governor Abiodun: “We are pleased to announce that immediate construction work will begin on the 17-kilometer Sango-Ijoko road, which we have divided into two sections for quicker completion. Additionally, the 3.25-kilometer Alagbole-Ajuwon-Akute road will be fully completed and commissioned by the end of February 2025.
“During our recent inspection of road projects in Ifo 2 State Constituency, we reaffirmed our commitment to addressing the infrastructural challenges faced by residents. Just a few months ago, we promised to rehabilitate critical roads in the area, and today we are delivering on that promise. The Alagbole-Akute road is already completed, while the Ajuwon-Akute road is nearing completion.
“We have instructed the Ministry of Works to prioritize the worst sections of the Sango-Ijoko road, and decisions on specific areas of focus will be made in collaboration with residents. This constituency holds immense importance to us as a vital border community with Lagos State, and we are determined to enhance the experience of cross-border movement for our citizens.
“We urge residents to use and maintain these roads responsibly to ensure they serve their intended purpose. Together, we will continue to make Ogun State a beacon of development and progress.”
