California Wildfires: ‘Palisades Fire is now 22% contained’

Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, announced, “the #PalisadesFire is now 22% contained.”

Earlier, Newsom made known, “California has secured additional funding to help LA communities rebuild faster & stronger”.


The Governor added, “this new funding will help us repair infrastructure like roads & bridges, public facilities & parks”.

The wildfires in Los Angeles have killed at least 24 people, displaced thousands, and destroyed more than 12,000 structures.

Over 100,000 have been ordered to evacuate Southern California.

According to Governor Newsom: “The #PalisadesFire is now 22% contained.


The blazes are expected to remain within the current 23,713-acre perimeter.


Widespread critical fire weather conditions are expected to remain as the Santa Ana winds return on Monday.


“The #EatonFire is 55% contained.


The unified command of @LACOFD, 

@PasadenaFD, and @ForestService has been supported by aircraft along the northern edge of the blaze.


While some moisture may arrive this weekend, critical fire weather conditions will likely return next week.


“The #AutoFire is now 85% contained.


Forward progress remains stopped and the 

@VCFD continues suppression efforts.”
