According to Tokunbo Wahab, Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Lagos State: “‘Bigot’ has, for a couple of years, become the most overused word in Nigerian lexicon. A particular set of people choose to sheepishly throw the word around just to suit their bias albeit mischievouly.

“Bigot has become the most overused word in Nigerian lexicon” |
“When and if you choose to deliberately steer a public outcry through false narrative on an issue which does not have any effect on you, particularly in a state where you don’t reside, it is not bigotry to be asked to steer clear and focus on the ones which directly affects you.
But for obvious mischievous and political reasons such as this, the word ‘bigot’ is easily thrown around by ignorants as a defence to telling you to ‘fi ti e se ti e’.
Some of us cannot be bullied. It won’t work.
Katsina is Katsina. Bayelsa is Bayelsa. Imo is Imo. LAGOS IS LAGOS!
Cheers!”
