A special Jubilee year has been launched by Pope Francis for Roman Catholics during a ceremony on Christmas Eve at the Vatican.

Pope Francis marked the start of the Jubilee Year by opening the usually bricked-up Holy Door at St Peter’s Basilica.
Jubilees happen just once every twenty-five (25) years, and more than thirty (30) million pilgrims are expected to travel to Rome to pass through the door and seek forgiveness for their sins.
