At the minimum sixty-nine (69) people, encompassing twenty-five (25) Malians, have died after a boat on its way to Spain from West Africa capsized off Morocco, authorities of Mali have disclosed.

The boat was loaded with about eighty (80) people, however, only eleven (11) people survived, a statement from the Ministry of Malians Abroad revealed.
At least nine (9) of the survivors are from West African country, Mali.
The unfortunate incident occurred last week, but, the Ministry confirmed the mishap on Thursday.
The Ministry said, a crisis unit has been deployed to monitor the situation.
