Pep Guardiola’s Man City have suffered five (5) humiliating losses successively – the most recent being a 0-4 wallop in the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday 23 November, 2024 in the Premier League 2024/25 match at Etihad Stadium.
The Belgian midfield maestro said, “it’s frustrating but I can help the team.”
He made the statement at his press conference ahead of the Uefa Champions League 2024/25 League Phase match between Manchester City and Feyenoord at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday 26 November, 2024 at 21:00 (WAT).
De Bruyne said: “When I came back [from injury] I felt really good in the first five games and then had a thing against Brentford that didn’t feel good but ended up being way worse than I wanted it to be. There’s not a lot to say but I couldn’t kick a ball, I could do a lot but I couldn’t move freely to do what I needed to do. During the international break, I moved around to see some people and I’m starting to feel better now. It’s been frustrating but I’m feeling better.
“I can help them [the team] but you can only do so much from the side. It’s frustrating because I know if I was feeling good I could help the team but I wasn’t able to do that. I was kind of training but there’s only so much, that’s not a nice feeling.”
