The Governor said, “the strategic importance of this flyover cannot be overstated, as it will significantly reduce travel time, enhance road safety, and boost inter-state commerce.”
According to Governor Uzodimma: “Efficient transportation infrastructure is vital for driving economic growth and improving quality of life. The Control Post Flyover, a project long overdue, is poised to address persistent traffic bottlenecks from Anambra and Rivers States while easing local congestion within Owerri.
During my inspection, I noted the remarkable progress made by the contractors, whose speed and strict adherence to contractual standards have set an impressive benchmark. The strategic importance of this flyover cannot be overstated, as it will significantly reduce travel time, enhance road safety, and boost inter-state commerce.
Beyond its immediate impact on traffic management, this infrastructure will bolster investor confidence in Imo State’s commitment to modernization. With construction progressing in line with the projected timeframe, I am optimistic that the flyover will soon stand as a testament to the State’s dedication to infrastructural development.”
