Osimhen’s header in the 81st minute struck out Mohamed Tijani’s 18th minute goal for the Cheetahs of Benin in the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifier in Benin on Thursday 14 November, 2024.
The Galatasaray striker’s goal now places him as joint second all time top scorer alongside former Nigeria forward, Segun Odegbami.
The 1-1 outcome against Benin has handed Nigeria its ticket to Morocco for the AFCON 2025.
