Bayern Munich Germany midfielder, Joshua Kimmich, said, his side are “confident” as the Bavarians gear up to lock horns with Barcelona in the Uefa Champions League on Wednesday.

Kimmich said, “It’s always special to play against Barca.”
Barcelona and Bayern Munich will slug it out in the Uefa Champions League 2024/25 preliminary match on Wednesday 23 October, 2024 at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.
At his press conference ahead of the encounter, Kimmich said:
On reunion with Hansi Flick…
“It’s always special to play against Barca. The background is obviously very interesting, also to face Hansi Flick. We’re looking forward to it.”
On facing Barcelona…
“It’s a very big club with great tradition, so it’s a special game for everyone – us players and the fans.”
On the absence of Aleks Pavlovic…
“We’ll really miss Aleks. He started the season really well. But we’re still well covered in the position and will try to make up for his absence. That’s generally what makes a team, that the others are there when someone’s out. And we’ve got great confidence in the other guys.”
On Bayern’s current form…
“We had three games before the international break where we didn’t win, but the way we’re playing makes us confident. Wins are the foundation for titles, and a good togetherness with good football are also the foundations for wins. We’re on track there. We as the players see the path and believe in the way we’re playing.”
