Russia-Ukraine: Japan provide additional financial assistance of $3.1bn to Ukraine

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has expressed appreciation to the government of Japan for providing “additional financial assistance to Ukraine totaling 471.9 billion yen (approximately $3.1 billion)”.

The Ukrainian President disclosed, “these funds align with the joint decision of our G7 partners to allocate $50 billion from immobilized Russian assets to support Ukraine.”

According to President Zelenskyy: “We welcome the decision by the Government of Japan to provide additional financial assistance to Ukraine totaling 471.9 billion yen (approximately $3.1 billion).

This invaluable assistance will help us save lives, defend the independence of our country, and support the Ukrainian people enduring the hardships of Russian aggression.
